About

From Revit Modeling to a Structured Professional Practice

This training forms the BIM foundation of BIMNOVA.
It has been designed as a comprehensive learning path, allowing participants to progress from an initial use of Revit to a professional, structured, and coordinated BIM practice, applied to real-world projects.

The program covers all essential disciplines: architecture, structure, and MEP, with a gradual increase in complexity.

Why This Training?

Many professionals use Revit without fully leveraging BIM as a methodology:

• Unstructured modeling
• Projects that are difficult to maintain and coordinate
• Poorly designed or non-usable families
• Unreliable data
• Inefficient management of links and exchanges

This training directly addresses these issues by establishing solid BIM foundations from the start.

A Training Designed as a Learning Path

The program is structured to support learners from beginner to professional level, without methodological breaks.

It aims to develop not only how to model, but more importantly why and how to structure a BIM project properly.

What You Will Learn

By the end of the training, you will be able to:

• Correctly model a project in Revit
• Understand and apply BIM principles
• Model architectural, structural, and MEP elements
• Create Revit families suitable for professional use
• Structure a BIM project from its inception
• Set up reliable schedules and quantities
• Manage parameters and data efficiently
• Link and coordinate multiple models
• Prepare a project for BIM coordination

Who Is This Training For?

• Architecture and engineering students
• Recent graduates
• Architects and engineers seeking to structure their BIM practice
• Professionals wishing to rebuild strong BIM foundations

No advanced BIM prerequisites are required.

Training Format

The training is delivered in a structured and flexible format, with the same total number of sessions regardless of the selected pace.
Only the rhythm changes, not the content nor the final competency level.

Two Possible Paces – Same Program, Same Volume
Option 1 – Standard Pace

1 session per week over 12 weeks
→ 12 sessions in total

This format allows for gradual progression, with time between sessions to practice, test, and consolidate skills.

Option 2 – Intensive Pace

2 sessions per week over 6 weeks
→ 12 sessions in total

This format is intended for participants who wish to accelerate their learning while following the exact same pedagogical path.

Session Organization

• Identical total number of sessions in both formats
• Continuous progression from beginner to professional level
• Alternation between BIM methodology, Revit modeling, and practical case studies
• Approach based on real projects and professional workflows

The chosen pace does not affect the final level achieved, only how quickly you reach it.
